I shoved Runningflames out of the away and sprinted into the forest. What is that mouse brained idiot talking about?! Half-clan? Where did he get such a stupid idea, my mother is Windclan and my father… he's dead.

I broke away from the forest line and into the opened sky fields. The wind felt good on my fur and the scent was calming. I ran with all my might to try and forget what just happened. It's only a misunderstanding. He just fell on me, nothing happened... Or I don't think so. Where did Breezepelt get that stupid idea? Just because my father is dead and no body talks about him anymore and not even the elders, it might mean my father was from another clan? I shook my head out of the thought. I don't know how that even works and I don't care!

"Scarears!" Runningflame's voice traveled on the wind. I stopped and looked back. A growl rumbled in the back of my throat. He's the reason for this misunderstanding. I sprinted farther up ahead, but he was streaking along side of me in no time. I weaved around and back toward the forest.

"Wait, hear me out!" I jumped into the tree line before he could finish. I panted heavily as I came to a skidding stop at the stream, the border to Thunderclan.

"You maybe be a serious and thoughtful cat, but you can be brash and hasty sometimes." My ears flicked up at the familiar sound. Wait, this voice is. "Will you always be an arrogant mouse romping through the forest?" I whipped my head around me.

"Spottedfire?!" The forest was empty. Nothing but the wind. "Spottedfire, are you there?! Please answer me!" I ran back and forth up the stream and at the trees. I haven't spoken with Spottedfire in moons, that little troublemaker always seems to get into trouble before gatherings, so we never get to see each other. It's strange, we haven't been visiting each other as often as we used to.

"What are you pacing for?" A cat jumped out of the bushes and trotted up to me. "Scarears?" My fur heated up. I stared at the mountains and didn't reply. "Scarears, will you at least look at me?!"

"Such a stubborn cat," The calming voice whispered right behind my ear.

"Spottedfire!" I looked behind me only to be nose to nose with the tom. His eyes widened and he pulled his head back.

"Umm, sorry," His ears were bent back in fear.

"Did you hear that?" I asked hesitantly.

"Hear what?" I sighed and let my head fall. Am I hear things? "Hey, hey, what's wrong?" He laid his tail on my shoulder. "Who's Spottedfire?" I growled loudly.

"She's not some love rival if that's what you're thinking." I glowered up at him. His eyes widened far and he pulled his tail back. He pulled away from. I sighed again, he looks really hurt. "Hey, I'm sorry, it's just-"

"If you think all I care about is mating, you're wrong." I lifted my head up in interest. "I care about you and if you're hurt I want to do something about it." He turned his head away and looked into the forest. "What's happening, you used to tell me things."

"I don't know, okay, I'm sorry… we're still friends, right?" My ears drooped.

"Of course, tha-that's all I wish." His ears perked up and his tail thumped the ground.

"Ha, sure it is." I licked my paw.

"Wait, I just said I don't just care about-"

"I know, I know, don't let your fur up in a bunch." I laughed as he just nodded his head. "Come on, we have to head back, don't we?" I stretched my legs and stood up.

"Right, uh, actually." He kneaded the ground with his paw. "Don't worry about what Breezepelt said. He's just spoke whatever sounded insulting," I nodded slightly.

"Yeah, I guess," But it has got me thinking.

"So, let's catch something before we head back, they'll be wondering what's happened to us."

"I'll miss you." I whipped my head back to the Thunderclan territory. "You go on ahead, let me check something."

"Are there invaders?" Runningflames' neck fur bristled.

"No, it's not that, just go on ahead, don't worry. I just thought I found a mouse that's been hiding."

"Okay, I left a pile earlier, but I'll hunt a little more. I'll see you at camp." He ran back into the trees.

"Spottedfire, show yourself." I glared into the undergrowth of the Thunderclan. "Answer me." I growled.

"You are such an aggressive cat." She whispered into my ear.

My heart leaped in my chest, "Oh, dear friend, I've missed you so much, come out here already. Don't worry, no body's here." I looked earnestly into the Thunderclan territory. No reply. "Fine, I'll just sit here until you come out." A large exhale of breath came out.

"Old friend, return home. I will talk with you soon,"  Why won't she talk to me now?

"Where have you been all these seasons?" I asked quickly.

"Away."

"Away where?" The forest seemed to grow colder. "Spottedfire?" There was no reply for the longest time. I sighed and headed back to camp.
